MY TWO WEEKS AYAW FROM SHCOOL
SKAAB AND ICA
I made my practice on ICA and on SKAAB. I started on ICA in Ullared. And all I can tell you is that I unpacked products, and threw away boxes. It was a really monotone week. Cause that was all I did.
I carried a lot of heavy things, and at the end of the week, my back was hurting. A box with bananas, weighed 18 kg. Heavy! But there was a girl, called Eva-Lis, and she learned me how to carry with my knees. And that helped a lot.
It didn't happened that much on ICA, and I have to say that it was better on SKAAB, that's why I decided to write more about SKAAB instead.
So let's see, it became a weekend, and I got to rest a bit before I was going to SKAAB. SKAAB is a big industry place, where they builds big lorry platforms.
Maybe you wonder if I built lorry platforms that week. And I can answer that question with a no. Cause I was on the office, and I worked with my neighbour Anette.
SKAAB is a big company. And everyone in Sweden knows them. Or, a lot of people at least. Cause there was a lot of people that came from places far away from here, just to pick up a truck or something.
I don't know what the number of the employees was, but I would guess that they were about 150 employees, if you count everyone who works on the ware house too.
SKAAB is a special place, cause you can only find SKAAB on one place in Sweden. And that is in Ätran. And I don't think you can find SKAAB in any other countries either. But I think they are going to build a SKAAB in Norge. I'm not really sure.
My working environment was really good. Everything was fresh because they reconstruct the office, last summer. Or I think it was the last summer, I don't really remember.
And it wasn't the first time I was on SKAAB cause my grandmother, grandfather and my two uncles works there. A lots of people came up to me on SKAAB and asked me if I was the one who was going to work there later, and take my grandmothers place now when she will quit. Cause almost everyone knows who my grandparents are.
I can also tell you about one ordinary work day. Cause every day looked like the same. When I came to the office at nine o’clock, I started with some paperwork. I copied some papers, and put them in the right file folders.
At ten o'clock, came the postman with the post. And then, I sorted the letters in alphabetical order. Cause it was going to be easier when they tampered with the invoices later.
After that, I continued with some paper work, weeded out some file folders and I cleaned up in the archive.
At twelve o'clock was it time for lunch. I went to my grandmother, who lives next to SKAAB and ate some really nice food.
I don't remember what I did in the afternoons, but I would guess that I continued with the paper work, again. Cause that was all I did, or al least the most of the time. At three o'clock, was it time to go home for the day.
Some days was more stressful then others. Cause some days, was I totally unemployed. Haha, no, but there wasn't much to do. During some days, I had a little bit more to do.
There were more people than me and Anette on the office. there was a man, who sat next to me and Anette, called Uno. He did always told me about how he and my grandmother went to school together. That was funny.
And there were a lots of more people on the office. But I'm not going to recite everyone. Cause I don't every name, and it would take a long time.
I have to say that I thought that the practice would be funnier than it was, but it was okay. Some days were better than others and I have to say that some days were pretty cheerful.
